Paleonet: Memoirs of Nanjing IGP vol. 15

Dear Paleonetters:

We are looking into buying a stereomicroscope, but we have not a lot  
of funding (in fact none what so ever), the only money comes from  
donations and membership fees.
Anyway, we would like to have some opinion on the AMscopes found on  
EBAY. Has anyone worked with one of these, are they reliable?

Also what type of lighting is best for taking pictures (with the  
digital camera they fit with the microscopes), fluorescent, led light  
or fiber optic?
