The North Dakota Geological Survey is seeking another paleontologist to
enhance the state's fossil resource management program. This person will
work with the North Dakota State Paleontologist and one other staff
paleontologist. Attached is the position description and application

Minimum Qualifications: 

Requires a bachelor's degree in geology or earth science, a valid
driver's license, and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with paleontological fieldwork. 
Experience in preparation and curation of vertebrate fossils. 
Familiarity with computerized fossil data bases. 
Familiarity with Mesozoic and Cenozoic stratigraphy and paleontology of
the Great Plains. 
Familiarity with design and production of fossil exhibits. 
Experience conducting paleontological research and preparing reports and
scientific articles.

Summary of Work:

Assist in curation and management of the North Dakota State Fossil
Collection, assist with the public fossil digs program and other fossil
excavations, prepare fossils for research and exhibit, assist in
production of fossil exhibits, assist with website development, and
conduct paleontological research in North Dakota.
